Customer Success
"The integrity of the data is much better with Spreadsheet Server for JD Edwards. Before, we were manually keying in the data and were left with the potential for errors. Now the integrity is better, the data is more accurate and it is real-time, and up-to-date. We are very pleased with the software given its simplicity and flexibility, which is what the users like."

Bottomline Active Spreadsheet Server™

Spreadsheet Automation for Oracle and JD Edwards
Request More Information

Bottomline Active Spreadsheet Server is a powerful, Excel add-on delivering real-time data from your Oracle or JD Edwards General Ledger directly into Excel for faster, more convenient financial analysis. Combining standard spreadsheet functions such as charting, graphing, text formatting and sorting with dynamic data updates provides users with the foundation for more accurate, professional-looking financial statements.

Using Excel’s standard interface supplemented with simple cell formulas, Excel is converted into a tightly integrated analytical tool where users can retrieve, manipulate and present all levels of information within Excel. This information is instantly updated with real-time data from the general ledger each time a user opens or re-calculates the Excel spreadsheet, allowing users to focus on financial data analysis rather than data collection. This information can then be automatically distributed via email, fax or the Web making financial information readily accessible to an organization's business-level decision-makers.

Bottomline Active Spreadsheet ServerFeatures Include:

  • Dynamic Balances: Using simple Excel formulas users can retrieve dynamic period, year-to-date, life-to-date and quarter balances for quicker, more proactive business decision-making.
  • Account Combinations: Any combination of accounts can be retrieved into a single spreadsheet row using wild cards, ranges or segment lists.
  • Drill-down Capabilities: Dynamic drill-down capabilities allow for the review of detailed account balances and journal entry information as well as access to sub-systems detail (Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Finance and Accounting and Inventory).
  • Security Features: Security can be configured per user to restrict the areas of data that an individual can access. Security is based upon account segment information or can be set to mirror current ERP platform security.
  • Distribution Management: Organizations can automate the distribution of critical financial information. Users can configure multiple report packages that supply parameters, calculate and distribute reports via print or email, or send to a secure archive — all with the single click of a button.
  • Sales Reporting: Dynamic sales totals based upon your ERP sales criteria can be easily retrieved and accessed in Excel. Using the Formula Assistant, users can quickly build desired sales totals and drill-down to see additional sales detail.
