PayBase 8.2, the latest version of the industry's leading payments and collections platform, is now available. This new release features:
Embedded Oracle Database
- In response to growing market demand for Oracle database products, PayBase 8.2 Desktop Version now installs Oracle10g as the embedded database. This is important to organizations seeking to benefit from the performance, security and reliability of the Oracle 10g database. Oracle 10g is also supported for PayBase Enterprise customers.
- Today Bottomline provides BACSTEL-IP solutions to more than 4,000 organizations in the UK. BACS enhancements, including support for BACS on Oracle 10g, are included.
User Enhancements
- The PayBase eSend module now includes faxing, in addition to existing email capabilities for automated distribution of remittance advices. This release provides initial fax server support for RightFax® from Captaris and Zetafax® from Equisys. Fax settings such as coversheet name, from: name, resolution and priority can be configured from the module's "application tree." Customers have the option of importing fax details directly from a data file or using the ACH participant feature to configure distribution settings, including receiver/payee name, fax number and password.
- In Version 8.2, users can define an unlimited number of audit fields. Each audit field also now accommodates up to 2,000 characters. The data captured by these user-defined audit fields is visible in the Transaction Log report.
- A new SQL Runner Tool (a user privilege within the Supervisor menu) allows Supervisors to run "SELECT" statements in addition to a set of pre-written SQL statements.
Expanded Printer Support
- PayBase 8.2 offers extended printer support for Troy MICR and HP models: 1320, 2420, 4250, 4350, 9050, and Source Technologies 9410.
