Bottomline Appoints Managing Director for Banking in Europe

Expanded Global Banking Team Supports Growing Market Demand for Company’s Payments and Cash Management Solution

PORTSMOUTH, NH and BARCELONA, SPAIN – October 02, 2008 – Bottomline Technologies (NASDAQ: EPAY), a leading provider of collaborative payment, invoice and document automation solutions, today at EuroFinance’s 17th Annual Conference on International Cash and Treasury Management announced that Chris Peck has been named Managing Director of the company’s banking team for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

As managing director of Bottomline’s banking team in Europe, Mr. Peck will play an important role in helping the company to serve growing demand for its banking products and services in the region.
