
Open banking year five: The journey from open finance to open everything
This review of the progress of the UK’s Open Banking initiative is the fifth in the series, marking the fifth anniversary of the launch of the Second Payments Services Directive (PSD2) on 13 January 2018.
The past five years has seen the CMA9 - Allied Irish Bank, Bank of Ireland, Barclays, Danske Bank, HSBC, Lloyds, Nationwide, RBS and Santander - transform data structures and security architectures to meet the requirements mandated by the Competition & Markets Authority.
