End 68 Hours of Hunger is an organization committed to ending childhood hunger one school at a time. The organization began by feeding 19 local children in 2011, and now feeds almost 1,000 children in towns across New Hampshire. Bottomline Technologies became End 68 Hours of Hunger’s first charter sponsor with a $68,000 donation from its executives and employees earlier this year.

“We cannot express our appreciation enough for the leadership role Bottomline has taken in helping us tackle the critical issue of childhood hunger” said Claire Bloom, founder and program director. “Because of Bottomline’s active participation and the involvement of their employees, the End 68 Hours of Hunger program has been able to grow and feed the many children who need our help.”

About End 68 Hours of Hunger
End 68 Hours of Hunger is a private, not-for-profit effort to confront the approximately 68 hours of hunger some school children experience between the free lunch they receive in school on Friday afternoon and the free breakfast they receive in school on Monday morning.

This program, established in New Hampshire in 2011, puts nourishing food in the hands of elementary school children to carry them through the weekend. Volunteers purchase the food, pack the bags and deliver them to the offices of the selected elementary schools. From there, a school employee delivers the food to the classrooms of the individual participating students. The students take the food home on Friday afternoon. Each bag of food provides two breakfasts, two lunches and three dinners for a child, with some left over to share!
