Bacs TLS security change and C-Series:
In June 2015 Bacs announced changes to their security protocols, moving from Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) to Transport Layer Security (TLS) by June 2016. TLS is a cryptographic protocol that ensures privacy between communicating applications and ensures that no third party may eavesdrop or tamper with any message. TLS is the successor to the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) that is currently used by all Bacstel-IP software. This industry change is to ensure the ongoing security in communications standards used when connecting to the Bacs service either via software or Payment Services Website, in advance of a wider move to the new standards by the internet community by 2017.
The latest version of C-Series will be fully compliant with the TLS changes.
