Bottomline Technologies Partners with CASA for 6th Annual Race for a Cause

PORTSMOUTH, NH (September 17, 2019) – Bottomline Technologies (NASDAQ:EPAY), a leading provider of financial technology that helps make business payments simple, smart and secure, today announced that it will hold the sixth annual Race for a Cause 5k on Saturday, September 28 at 10:30 a.m. at the Company’s corporate headquarters, 325 Corporate Drive on the Pease Tradeport in Portsmouth. Proceeds from the event will support Court Appointed Special Advocates of New Hampshire (CASA).

“The Race for a Cause has become a flagship event for us and we are delighted that so many of Bottomline’s employees, partners, vendors and the entire community can come together to support such a worthwhile cause,” said Rob Eberle, President & CEO, Bottomline Technologies.

To date, the Race for a Cause has raised more than $130,000 over two years for CASA. Established in 1989, CASA of New Hampshire has advocated on behalf of more than 10,000 children in the family court system who have suffered from abuse or neglect.

“We are thrilled Bottomline Technologies selected CASA again to be its charitable partner for the sixth annual Race for a Cause,” said Marcia Sink, President & CEO of CASA. “Through partnerships like this we are able to provide more advocacy for more children and further spread the word about how the community can get involved with CASA.”

According to Sink, CASA continues to be challenged by an influx of children into the court system due in large part to parental substance misuse.

“CASA provides victimized children in New Hampshire with a voice in their futures by empowering a statewide network of trained volunteers to advocate on their behalf so they can thrive in safe, permanent homes,” said Sink. “Each year, we seek to step closer to our goal of serving 100 percent of the children in need.”

More than 200 runners and walkers have registered to participate in the event and nearly two dozen sponsors support the event with both monetary and in-kind donations. Sponsors for the 2019 event include: The Sedoric Group of Steward Partners, Bank of America, Marsh & McLennan Agency, Citizens Bank, DataPivot Technologies, Connection, ePlus Technology and Cisco, Infosense Global, New Day Solutions, Nutanix, Office Resources, Cigna, Cresa Atlanta, Daniels Electric Company, Exeter Hospital, Hilton Garden Inn, Lighthouse Computer Services, PromoCentric, TalkDesk, TMS Architects, Turbocam and WilmerHale.

“The support we receive from sponsors is such an incredible outpouring of generosity,” said Eberle. “We at Bottomline are just happy to be the organizers, it’s really the sponsors and the people who show up on race day who make this event a true success.”
