In a recent study commissioned by Nokia, it is estimated that Mobile users can’t leave their phone alone for six minutes and check it up to 150 times a day.
What does that have to do with our upcoming product release?
A lot actually! With mobile phones continuously taking center stage on usage in today’s multi-device reality, we at Andera have been laser focused on ensuring that our online account opening and loan origination platform continues to follow the consumer workflow trends – and specific to the upcoming product release – we are pleased to announce the launch of our cross device, responsive design capability.
Responsive design is a design approach whereby one builds web pages capable of detecting a visitor’s screen size and orientation then changing the layout accordingly. The main idea is to allow your web site to respond to the consumer’s request based on the screen size of the device rather than the make, model and version of the device. This approach delivers multiple benefits with the core value on solving the design and maintenance issues caused by constant innovation and proliferation of new mobile devices.
What it means for online account opening and loan origination is that as a consumer using a mobile device to open an account, the entire process is presented and works optimally for the targeted flow. This, combined with our use of HTML5 to use the native features of the mobile device such as the camera, means that users who heavily rely on their mobile device can complete the entire process in one workflow without needing to go to another device.
Applicants can use a mobile device to capture and upload supporting documentation
From the financial institution’s perspective, there is no need to build special mobile versions of our applications forms. We simply present the same application form that you’ve chosen in different ways, depending on the screen that it is displayed on:
