Our Company
Yes. As part of the transition from Nexus to Bottomline, NexusConnect will be retired and both payers and their payees will use Paymode, a leading payments solution from Bottomline.
By the end of December 2024, all payees (vendors) will have switched from using NexusConnect to using Paymode for tracking their payments and submitting their invoices.
In early 2025, we will enter the second phase of the transition where payers will migrate from using NexusConnect to using Paymode for payments issuance. This migration will be done in phases. Most of the work will be handled by the Paymode team, including moving the payer’s company profile, bank accounts, and users from NexusConnect to Paymode.
We will notify all payers - using NexusConnect for issuing payments - of their assigned migration date.
No. NexusPayables will not be impacted. You will continue to use NexusPayables to approve and process invoices as you do today.
You will receive several email notifications advising you about your company’s migration date. The subject line for the first email will read “Webinar invitation: Learn about your upcoming transition from NexusConnect to Paymode.” All emails will come from the email address: noreply@bottomline.com.
No. The migration team will move your company’s bank accounts during the migration process.
There will be a hold on processing payment files starting 4 days prior to your migration date. Any payment files received during this time will be held and processed after the migration is complete.
During the 4-day holding period, any payment batches still pending approval will be voided in NexusConnect. You will need to void and reprocess those payments in your GL/ERP system.
Yes. Review all your NexusConnect data and ensure it’s up to date, specifically:
Your company’s profile – address, phone number, etc.
Bank accounts – ensure all accounts are current and up to date. Deactivate any bank accounts that are no longer used and do not need to be moved to Paymode.
Users – ensure all users are current and up to date. Deactivate any users that are no longer with the company or whose access should be removed.
Payment approval workflow – reduce your payment approval workflow to two levels of approvals.
Rebate vendor profile – If you don't have a rebate profile already created to receive rebates, a member of the Paymode team will contact you to have this configured.
Yes. We will provide training videos and how-to documents for using Paymode.
We will be sending out detailed email notifications as we get closer to the transition. Please be on the lookout for instructions in those emails. If you have questions that are specific to your company that are not addressed in the communications or webinars, please contact your Account Manager.
Once your payments processing has moved to Paymode, you may contact Paymode’s Member Services at 1-877-443-6944, M-F 8am-8pm ET.
To open a support case, you can navigate to the Paymode portal, click on your company name in the upper right corner, and click the link to the Customer Support portal.
